Usually involved in the front end design, with a "typical" condition being that of a leadership role through either Schematic Design or Design Development, and then a monitoring role through the CD and CA phases.
Usually takes on the balance of the architectural effort not executed by the "Design Architect," typically responsible for the construction documents, conforming to local codes, etc. May often be referred to as "Executive," "Associate," or "Local" Architect, however, for consistency CTBUH uses the term "Architect of Record" exclusively.

Garden furniture manufacturer Yotrio's headquarter's office tower is a dual façade high-rise with openable windows for natural ventilation. Flexible and partitionable office space as well as an extensive showroom have been created on a gross floor area of approximately 34,000 square meters. Most of the showroom is housed in the 5-storey building, which adjoins the tower on the west side. In terms of urban planning, the Ningbo Yotrio International Trade Company Building functions as a gateway on one of the main axes to the city center of Ningbo. The crystal-like beveled façade at the north-eastern corner of the building marks the main entrance to the building. The modern, clear image of the user is reflected in the outer appearance of the tower by smooth surfaces and the horizontal façade bands of white glass elements that become narrower as the height of the building increases.
The 1st to 5th floor are public and exhibition areas; the upper floors are for internal exhibition functions, tenant use and Ningbo Yotrio International Trade Company’s own use; the 25th floor is for training functions and 26th floor is prearranged for the upper management of the company.
