UTS is a public university of technology and the top-ranked young university in Australia. With a total enrolment of over 44,000 students, UTS is also one of the largest universities in Australia. Located on the southern edge of Sydney's CBD, the UTS campus comprises more than 20 buildings accommodating facilities for teaching, research and industry partnerships. Over the past decade, UTS has invested more than $1 billion in the City Campus Master Plan, which has delivered four major campus buildings and a number of additional facilities. The Dr Chau Chak Wing Building (Building 8), home to the UTS Business School, was the first building designed by renowned Canadian/American architect Frank Gehry to be built in the Southern Hemisphere. UTS Central (Building 2), is the final major project to be delivered under the Campus Master Plan.
