DBW is an innovative design firm born from a leading international design brand. Founded in 2023, the firm is registered in Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, with its headquarters in Shanghai and teams based across Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen. With deep international vision and precise local execution capabilities, DBW is committed to promoting outstanding local design on the global stage while introducing cutting-edge global concepts into the Chinese context-contributing to the long-term development of the industry.
Upholding the philosophy of "Design Better World," DBW focuses on innovative design practices across commercial complexes, urban regeneration, and cultural-tourism spaces. Our work spans architecture, urban planning, landscape, and interior design. Distinct from traditional design paths, we adopt a full lifecycle approach, providing end-to-end services from early-stage planning, design, and cost evaluation to leasing support and implementation. Acting as the lead design consultant, DBW integrates multidisciplinary resources-across architecture, interiors, brand strategy, mobility, façade, lighting, and art-to build an efficient and systematic collaboration mechanism, helping clients maximize project value with stability and foresight. Representative projects include Chengdu Jiaozi Financial Center, Jinan IFC, Shanwei YUD Island, Taiyuan Xiangyu Vally, etc. These projects demonstrate DBW's strengths in both time-scaled project orchestration and multi-dimensional service integration.
Founder May Wei brings over two decades of global experience in architectural design and remains at the forefront of the industry. She has rich expertise in promoting green, low-carbon strategies, digital transformation, and international design integration. Under her leadership, DBW continues to explore the social significance and future value of design-delivering projects that resonate with urban warmth, collective memory, and local culture through professional integration and a global perspective.
