About Ohio Public Employees Retirement System

This project integrated a complex that includes the original building (circa 1969) and subsequent building additions (1982 and 1990), raising the quality of all existing space to a level consistent with the new. An emphasis was placed on creating a pleasant working environment, highly functional in terms of work flow and adjacencies.

Located on a tight urban site with its inherent city restrictions, the project’s greatest challenge was in determining the optimal (and acceptable) solution for the location of the office and garage addition. Easy access for visiting customers (participants and retirees) was also a requirement, with the goal of providing superb customer service while not giving the impression of profligate use of investors’ dollars.
