About Solea

Solea, a high-rise apartment building in the shape of a white crystal, open at corners to reveal black loggias, stands where tradition meets contemporary design. The building simultaneously offers the sobriety of a private villa, inspired by Milanese architecture, and contemporary conveniences. The building’s character is derived from the opposition of bright and sparkling material, such as white glass, and the dull black of the natural stone, which defines the opening of the crystal. At the top, the building has four high-ceilinged volumes with double- and triple-height “bow-windows.” At night these glow like a lantern.

Solea is located south west Porta Nuova Varesine, on the Porta Nuova axis, connecting the historic city center with the new urban centrality of Porta Nuova, and the Lombardy government center. It commands views to the promenade and the Garden of Varesine, to the city center, to the Corso Como and Porta Garibaldi, and to the park of the Biblioteca degli Alberi.
