About Xiamen Financial Centre

The Xiamen Financial Centre is the most dominant of a major group of towers in the new central business district. The iconic sculptural form of the tower creates a striking image, while its folded facades also help to break down its mass in a tight urban site. The system of folding surfaces and joint lines was carried through into different building elements and functional spaces, such as the entrance canopy, the elevated lobby, and the car park ramp shelter.

The glass “iceberg” tower has an elevated lobby, which takes the occupant to the escalator alongside the civic square on its south, culminating in a direct sea view to the east. With a sky clubhouse on the 15th floor and an observation deck on the top floor, the occupants are able to enjoy the panoramic sea view on different levels. By elevating the lobby, a significant amount of ground floor area is dedicated to public space at the city scale.
